The C.C. Riders had their Drill Team Dress Rehearsal at East Fork Farms. They prepared for their performance that will take place at the Kalamazoo County Fair, Sunday, August 3rd at 6:00 p.m.
The Galesburg Club participated in the Greater Galesburg Day parade. Thier float had posters explaining many livestock areas covered throughout 4-H. They were looking to recruit new members and handed out 4-H yo-yos.
Augusta United has been hard at work this summer. Their Cloverbuds decorated a float and participated in the Greater Galesburg Day Parade. The members involved in the poultry project had a turkey showmanship class with past 4-H Grand Champion and King, J P Lawrence. The members painted their club barrel. After all this hard work they should be prepared for fair.
Please join Hickory Corners Country Club for their annual dress rehearsal dinner 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30th at East Fork Farms. Dinner will be provided by Outback Steakhouse. Donations are welcome.
Carcass judging kicked off events leading up to the Kalamazoo County Fair. Animals were judged according to their lean and muscle before Wednesday when they will be judged as a carcass.
A Cloverbud Party put on by the Club Ambassadors was held at the Nazareth Complex for all Cloverbuds and their families on July 16th. This gave them an opportunity to ask questions about 4-H and the upcoming fair. Even though it was hot, a great time was had by all.
Hickory Corners Country Club has been having their Demonstration Practice at East Fork Farms. They are hard at work, preparing for the fair. On this day they started to get the horses use to riding with a flag. They also had a guest rider.
The Kalamazoo County 4-H Open Horse Show was held July 11-13. The Show began with Halter, Showmanship and Gymkhana on Friday, Western Day on Saturday, and ended with English Day on Sunday. Many participants had the opportunity to receive trophies and ribbons. Good job to all who coordinated this event!
The Pavilion Busy Clovers were able to meet outside for their last meeting before fair. They finalized fair assignments and passed out things necessary for fair. They even found the time to have an activity.
