Portable Pasture Pens for Poultry

The Augusta United 4-H club recently completed making a portable pasture pen for poultry. They built an innovative cage for chickens allowing them to be raised on pasture and have less stress. It is an open-bottom design that is more natural for the birds and eco-friendly. They were able to aquire a Zindel Youth Poultry Science Grant through the Michigan 4-H Foundation to accomplish this.

Are you going to bring the pen to fair?

We can't bring it to fair due to size but we will share information about it with anyone who will listen.

Thanks to John for putting us on the blog!!

We all had a great time putting this together.
